Dirk Oomen - landscape architect

Dirk Oomen studied Landscape Architecture at Wageningen University (2006) and Land & Water Management at Larenstein University of Applied Sciences (2003). His expertise lies in analysing project areas and designing and visualising landscapes and ecological plans. He regularly takes aerial photographs of project areas with a kite. These photos often yield surprising images that serve as a source of inspiration in the design and planning process. They make landscape structures, vegetation patterns, grazing mosaics, and natural processes such as erosion and sedimentation more visible. By using current aerial photos, optimal consideration can be given to the qualities and possibilities of a location.
